Happy Monday!

Happy Monday!  Another beautiful day in Portland.

Yesterday tasted a very delicious chocolate bar, made in Portland by Woodblock Chocolate.  Lately I've become quite a fan of chocolates, thanks to the chocolate artisans of Portland.  For many years I haven't been able to eat chocolates because of my many allergies like allergic to corn products or allergic to soy products or allergic to grain products.  Fortunately, now-a-days high end chocolatiers create chocolate bars from processing their own cacao beans to producing products with minimum ingredients like NW salts, cane sugar and cacao.

Think of the other possibilities one can do with this chocolate bar besides eating it.  Maybe buy a few more and make Chocolate Walnut Meringue Cookies.  Yum, yum, yum!

Walking at Brookwood Park

We got a wonderful walk at Brookwood Park today.  Most of the geese have gone, but the residents are still there to cheer us on.

Exciting News from the Gardening Trenches

Fairy Princess
Today discovered buds on my 3 year old peony plants!  For the last couple of years we grew gorgeous peony plants without a blossom in sight.  One is called Border Charm and the other Fairy Princess.

Both are from the Adelman Peony Gardens.

See the tiny buds!  One day they'll bloom.

Walking in the Laurelhurst Neighborhood

Hello,
Thank you for looking in.
Everyday I capture-the-moment with my camera.  This is my daily journal.

Today, we went walking in the Laurelhurst neighborhood.  We saw wisteria, pericallis that was bicolored light blue, trees, azaleas, and even a squirrel!

Hope you are able to join us again on our walks through gardens, parks, and neighborhoods.
